We aim to provide value for money. We have a basic standard hourly rate but it is our experience that most clients prefer to agree a fixed fee in advance.
Please note these are the fees for our legal advice. Sometimes there will be outlays to pay as well. For example, the Office of the Public Guardian charges a fee to register a Power of Attorney. We will give you a breakdown of what you will pay when we are instructed.
|Item||Fee (exc VAT)|
|Power of Attorney||£200|
|Personal Injury Trust||£505|
|Guardianship / Intervention Order||
If you are applying for welfare powers, you will be eligible for Civil Assistance from the Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB).
You may also be eligible for Advice & Assistance (A&A) from SLAB. If you are not eligible for A&A, we charge £500.
These prices exclude VAT which is charged on fees at 20%.
If your circumstances are particularly complex, involve a large amount of paperwork for review or require lengthy discussions, then we may need to increase the fixed fee but we will let you know as soon as this becomes apparent.
There are certain cases where we cannot be certain how much work is involved and where a fixed fee arrangement is not possible. In such cases we will still provide you with a realistic indication of the likely fee. Our rates range from £195 to £250 (excluding VAT) per hour.
If you are in receipt of benefits or on a low income, please ask us about the availability of Legal Aid.
